The whole of the APM Italia Sri team are committed to minimising the negative impact we have as a business on nature and the environment now and in the future. This sustainable approach is applied to all business operations at APM Italia Srl.

Some of the ways we do this is are: complying with all the current energy consumption legislation, and in some cases bettering them. We aim to minimise waste by promoting the sale of out-graded and out-of-spec products and we also follow the KM 0 – Sustainable sourcing Purchasing Policy, which entails sourcing or producing the raw material while taking into consideration the miles those goods will need to travel from field to Pack House then onwards before arriving with the consumer. We try to grow and promote naturally grown produce where possible without the need for pesticides, and we work with partners who don’t over -crop and who avoid over felling of hedged areas to help reduce the negative impact on the local biodiversity.

We do our upmost to promote and maintain the rotational cycle of fields and crops to ensure that the crops grown together are suited to each other and help them work in harmony together to give a rich soil, instead of damaging and stressing the soil.

As part of our environmental due diligence we regularly check our processes to ensure full traceability of the products we sell from seed to fork, this ensures not only a sustainable and ethical way of working but that our products meet the highest standards.
